Invisible and protected against damag the RFID-transponders are embedded in the floor. Even with water, ice and snow the readability is assured. By that also open air bin locations can be optimised with Track+Race LS. An specially developed and robust RFID-antenna is mounted underside of the forklift truck and reads the transponder-ID. Additional sensors at the forklift truck register carrying and depositing of handling units and inform about the exact height above the floor.
Track+Race always ascertains the bin location by using position and height of the forks. There is no need for registration by hand anymore. Thus the stock is always up to date. Mistakes are eliminated.
Track+Race LS also gives new applications. An example: The forklift truck driver is informed or warned by an acoustical or optical signal when breaking speed-limit, transit or entry is prohibited or driving towards safety storage techniques (rolling gates, traffic lights). Especially in huge warehouses the optional display of the way to destination at the readout terminal facilitates orientation.
